The
idea for a web site devoted to ethical
wills, was created by Barry K. Baines, MD, a
family physician and medical director of a
home-based hospice program in Minnesota.
Barry's
interest
in Ethical Wills began when his father
developed a terminal illness in 1990.
However, it was his hospice care experience
that provided the impetus for developing
resources to help people write and preserve
their legacy of values at any stage of life.
Barry's Bio:
Barry recently transitioned from
a 30-year healthcare profession to expand his
passion for legacy through his work with
Celebrations of Life and the expansion of ethical
wills to a wider Legacy Journey™ concept.

health plan business and a leading authority on
ethical wills, Barry pioneered its use in a number
of settings, most notably, estate/financial/legacy
planning and palliative care. He has spoken

work has been featured in many prominent
