Workshop Overview

 

This workshop is designed for those interested in conducting variable length seminars and workshops related to ethical wills.  This material is also applicable in one-on-one settings. Previous knowledge or familiarity with the concept of ethical wills is helpful though not necessary.

 

Overall Conference Objectives:

At the conclusion of this program, you will be able to:

·         Confidently facilitate seminars and writing workshops on the topic of ethical wills

·         Develop an appropriate marketing strategy for seminar/workshop engagements

·         Capitalize on the opportunity for increasing your community exposure

 

How we will do it:

This workshop combines interactive lecture, individual writing exercises, small group and large group discussion, and ‘teach-back’ presentations. You will experience all the content modules as a participant and you are expected to begin/complete a draft of your own ethical will.  

Content areas:

·         Develop a common base of knowledge of ethical wills

·         Become comfortable with the range of resources you can employ to present Ethical Wills seminars and workshops.

·         Identify venues for presenting this information in your community and region

·         Create an operational plan for integrating and implementing Ethical Wills seminars and workshops as a primary area of focus or as an additional product and service option to your current portfolio

Evening Session:

·         Introductions          

·         Workshop overview

·         Walk through materials

Day Two

Morning session                   

·         Workshop presentation—Facilitator as participant

 

Afternoon Session

·         Review of materials—Facilitator’s perspective

·         FAQ’s

·         Teach-back assignments for Day 3

·         Work on teach-back sessions

·         Homework: create a draft of your own ethical will

 

 

Day 3

Morning Session

·        Review of Day one sessions/Questions, comments, concerns

·        Teach-back sessions

·        Brainstorm exercise to identify venues for presenting workshops and seminars

·        Technical issues and non-power point presentation options

·        Developing an implementation plan

·        Post-training support

·        Certificate distribution

·        Adjournment
